Human Rights Conditions Collapsing in Sudan:One Million on the Brink of Starvation

The situation is clearly deteriorating to the point that a human rights catastrophe even worse then occurred is now becoming reality. We know an Axis of Evil is supporting them and of course the UN is paralyzed. Lets see what Samantha Power Obama adviser has to say about combating genocide.
They are:

1. Knowledge: No matter what policy makers say, they almost always have a good take on massive repressions and slaughter.
2.Influence: Genocidal thugs take their cue on what they can get away from Western Leaders. If murders and terrorists think they can get away with their actions, they are more likely to do them.
3. Will: The USA and our political leaders often lack the will to combat genocide and are unwilling invest political and financial capital in stopping it.
4. Accountability: By this she means US politicians who prefer inaction as the safer course when dealing with genocide. In a word the sin of inaction is better then risking a war that might lower their poll numbers.

On Friday, Haider Ismael al-Amin lay in his mother’s arms, his 10-year-old body withered and weak from dehydration after a night of vomiting. But the door to the clinic was locked. After 30 minutes of waiting, his family gave up.

“The white people used to come every day,” said Hawa Hamal Mohammed, a relative of the boy. “Now the clinic is closed.”

The American aid group that operated the clinic, the International Rescue Committee, was one of more than a dozen aid groups expelled from Darfur this month by President Omar Hassan al-Bashir. He accused them of cooperating with the International Criminal Court in The Hague, which had issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of war crimes in the conflict that has consumed Darfur for years.

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has made his fist trip abroad since the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for his arrest, with a one-day visit to neighboring Eritrea. The trip, along with a planned visit to Qatar, have drawn attention, but as the risk that President Bashir would be apprehended on such a visit may be exaggerated.For his first trip abroad with an international arrest warrant on his head, President Omar al-Bashir chose another country that has long maintained a defiant posture towards western countries.

(CNN) -- A local aid worker employed by a Canadian relief group was shot to death on Tuesday in the Darfur region of Sudan, a colleague of the man said.

Adam Ahaeir -- employed by the Fellowship for African Relief -- was killed two days after he had been beaten in an attack over the weekend.

The FAR colleague, who wished to remain unnamed, feared there might be a connection between the beating attack and the killing.

We are one month away from a million people being murdered:

UNITED NATIONS (CNN) -- More than one million people in Darfur are at risk of losing food, water and shelter in coming months, following the expulsion of international aid groups by Sudan's government, the United Nations' chief humanitarian coordinator said Tuesday.

The statement by coordinator John Holmes comes after a joint U.N.-Sudanese assessment of the situation.The information was gathered from March 11-18 in hopes of stemming further troubles in Darfur after Sudan's government expelled 13 international relief organizations from the war torn region.
