NJ Gov Poll: Corzine In Trouble

Via RCP:
No surprise considering how badly run and corrupt the state is. Jersey along with Virginia are prime targets for the GOP recovery and when you add in the poll showing Giuliani with a solid chance to take New York you have the outlines of a Republican revival on a State level.

A new Fairleigh Dickinson poll finds New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine (D), running for re-election this year with a 40% approval rating, in some trouble (Feb. 25-March 2, 751 RV, MoE +/- 4%).

General Election Matchups
Christie 41 - Corzine 32 - Und 27

Corzine 36 - Lonegan 32 - Und 31

Corzine 37 - Merkt 28 - Und 35

Corzine 38 - Levine 27 - Und 36

Republican Primary
Christie 43
Lonegan 15
Levine 2
Merkt 1

As one of the places burnt by the CDR Financial Products muni-bond scandal it would serve the democrats well to get booted out of the state.
