Scenes From a Long Island Tea Party: SmithTown

It was a great time and turnout was pretty good at just this one, I drove past an even bigger one on the way there. The crowd was middle class and clearly grassroots in nature. They positive, happy to be there and looking forward to true reform. It was a good day all around and I am proud to have attended. By the way, no politicians there, just average Americans getting involved.

Self Described Community Organizer-He gave a good Speech and didn't even need a teleprompter.







(CNN) -- Tens of thousands of people spent part of national tax day at organized "tea party" demonstrations across the country, protesting what some view as excessive government spending and bailouts.
