Nancy Pelosi Knew and Lied About "Enhanced Interrogation "

Nancy Pelosi was among the attendees at a meeting with President George W. Bush on Sept. 4, 2002, the day of a C.I.A. briefing on interrogation methods.(Make a game of it, Find Nancy!)

Just more fun as we dig for the truth into Democratic party hypocrisy and lies!
The new chart of briefings, prepared by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, was the first full listing of briefings to members of Congress and their aides. It appears to call into question the longstanding assertion of Speaker Nancy Pelosi that she was never told that waterboarding and other methods were actually used, only that the Central Intelligence Agency believed they were legal and could be used. The chart shows that in addition to Ms. Pelosi, Democrats briefed on the methods included former Senator Bob Graham of Florida in 2002 and Senator John D. Rockefeller IV of West Virginia and Representative Jane Harman of California in 2003.Republicans also unveiled legislation aimed at curbing any effort to move prisoners from the Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, prison to the United States as part of President Obama’s order to close the Cuban detention center by early next year. The name of the bill, the Keep Terrorists Out of America Act, succinctly explained the Republican line of attack.

The bill would put Congress on record as opposed to transferring Guantánamo inmates to prisons in the United States or resettling on American soil those cleared for release.Under the legislation, no prisoner could be moved to any state without the approval of its governor and legislature and formal notification to Congress.

More from the Journal on what the Democrats Knew.
This would explain why Porter Goss was so confident to call Pelosi out as a liar. Check the first slide!

  1. Pelosi's lies shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

  3. Gosh -- then include her in the trial of all the Bush officials who authorized, ordered, and committed these ILLEGAL ACTS OF TORTURE. I suspect you're harping on a debatable act of misinterpretation rather than focusing on the now unquestionable primary point: Bush & Cheney authorized and ordered acts that were known at the time to be ILLEGAL. If they wanted them to be legal, they could have lobbied congress (which was dominated by repubs at the time). They chose instead to simply commit illegal acts. We hear from repubs all the time that illegal immigration is a horrible act simply because it is illegal, and we're a nation of laws after all. So start walking the walk. Either we're a nation of laws or a nation of outlaws. The American people spoke clearly when they overwhelming elected a president who acknowledges the obvious: Waterboarding and other forms of torture are against U.S. law.

  5. It's truly amazing- Pelosi was caught red-handed… and she’s STILL lying.

Of course, she had no objection to the use of EITs for almost 5 years- until she was Speaker in 2007 and the antiwar left raised it as an issue. Suddenly she’s against it, and/or “knew nothing”. And obviously willing to lie to the whole country to create a more favorable reality.

Apparently Obama and Pelosi forgot something: the CIA kills people… it’s in their job description. Did they really think these killers were going to meekly take one for the team… when the team captain is a lying, incompetent, arrogant nebbish with no real-world experience and who told them they need to kiss his ring? - please

Pelosi is a no-talent hack who’s made a lot of enemies. Going to be hard to BS her way out of this one- her approval rating was like 9% before this story even broke.
