North Korea Planning Another Nuclear Test

First their actual statement:

SEOUL (Reuters) - Following is a full text of the English-language report on North Korea's KCNA news agency on Wednesday threatening to conduct a second nuclear test:

"A spokesman for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Foreign Ministry issued a statement today as regards the fact that the hostile forces' vicious moves against the DPRK over its satellite launch for peaceful purposes have reached the extremely dangerous phase.

Here is Japan's response:

BEIJING (AFP) — Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso said on Thursday that North Korea's threat to conduct a nuclear test was "not constructive" and urged the resumption of six-party disarmament talks.

The visiting Japanese premier told journalists after he met Chinese leaders during his two-day trip here that "North Korea's behaviour is aimed at heightening international tensions".

"The six-party talks is the most realistic framework for resolving North Korea's problem. We want to keep close cooperation with the chair of the six-party talks, China, and... work towards the resumption of talks."

Aso was responding to questions about North Korea's threat on Wednesday to conduct a second nuclear test and fire off ballistic missiles unless the United Nations Security Council apologised for condemning its April rocket launch.

In addition North Korea will not return to the 6 party talks, clearly they want to get an American negotiator in the room alone and put the onus on them. Believe it or not the Obama admin is resigned to our enemis gaining strength:

WASHINGTON (AP) — A senior Obama administration official says he expects that North Korea will test a nuclear weapon before it is forced back to international disarmament negotiations.

U.S. President Barack Obama's coordinator for weapons of mass destruction policy, Gary Samore, said Friday that North Korea wants to divide the five other countries in the nuclear talks.

And to think Australia isn't counting on us anymore. Finally North Korea is threatening start up an enrichment program to create enriched uranium and add it to their al ready existing stockpiles.

SEOUL, South KoreaNorth Korea said Wednesday that it would start a uranium enrichment program, declaring for the first time that it intended to pursue a second project unless the United Nations lifted sanctions.Calling the United Nations Security Council “a tool for the U.S. highhanded and arbitrary practices,” North Korea also threatened to conduct nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile tests.
